He leaves behind three adoring children: Megan (Brian) Bachand, Marc (Terri) Liedel, and Matthew Liedel. As the community prepares to say their goodbyes, a visitation is scheduled for January 30, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coats Funeral Home in Clarkston, Michigan. The following day, January 31, a funeral service will take place at Christ the Redeemer Church in Lake Orion. In-state viewing for the funeral will begin at 10:30 A.M., leading up to the mass at 11:00 A.M., followed by a heartfelt luncheon where friends and family can gather to celebrate Mel’s life.
