East Lansing, Michigan – Michigan State University has announced the six inductees for the 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame class, which includes prominent figures from various sports. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025, and the inductees will also be celebrated at the Michigan State football game against Youngstown State the following day.

Leading the class is Mark Dantonio, who holds the title of the all-time winningest coach in Michigan State football history. During his tenure as head coach from 2007 to 2019, Dantonio achieved an impressive record of 114 wins and 57 losses, including a 69-39 record in Big Ten games. His coaching accolades encompass three Big Ten championships, two Big Ten Coach of the Year awards, and six bowl game victories. In 2024, he was inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame. Notably, Dantonio guided the Spartans to a memorable Rose Bowl win in 2014 and an appearance in the College Football Playoff the following year.

The next inductee, Sam Vincent, is celebrated as one of the greatest players in Michigan State men’s basketball history. Ranking eighth all-time in scoring at MSU, Vincent notably averaged 23.0 points per game during the 1984-85 season, a period in which he topped the Big Ten in scoring. In the 1985 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Boston Celtics as the 20th overall pick and later contributed to the team’s championship victory in Boston.

Another inductee, Caroline Powers, made a significant mark as both a player and an assistant coach for the MSU women’s golf team. As a standout player, she earned All-American honors and was recognized as the 2013 Big Ten Golfer of the Year for her exceptional performance on the course.

Tony Keyes, a former men’s soccer player in the late 1960s, also joins the Hall of Fame class. Keyes established himself as a two-time All-American and set a single-season record of 28 goals, showcasing his remarkable talent and contributing to the university’s athletic legacy.

Nick Simmons is recognized for his exceptional wrestling career at Michigan State. A four-time All-American and three-time Big Ten champion, Simmons holds the record for the most pins in program history, with a total of 46, demonstrating his prowess on the wrestling mat.

Lastly, Kori Moster, a three-time All-American in volleyball, has made history with her defensive skills. She holds the career record for digs at Michigan State with a total of 2,218 digs and was awarded the title of Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year on two occasions, affirming her outstanding contributions to the program.

The Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame, located in the Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center, has been honoring the achievements of Spartan athletes since its opening on October 1, 1999. As the university prepares for the induction of the class of 2025, Athletic Director J Batt expressed pride in the significant accomplishments of this year’s inductees, recognizing their excellence and contributions during their respective careers at Michigan State.

This prestigious honor not only commemorates the illustrious careers of the inductees but also serves as an inspiration to current and future student-athletes at Michigan State University.
