ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan puts a long home run against Indiana on the line at noon Saturday, Oct. 24, when the No. 6 Hoosiers visit Michigan Stadium in a Big Ten matchup that oddsmakers expect Indiana to win.
History sits firmly with the Wolverines. The Wolverines are 62-11 all-time against Indiana, hold a 36-7 mark against Indiana in Ann Arbor and have beaten the Hoosiers 22 straight times at home. Indiana’s most recent win at Michigan Stadium came in 1967, and the Hoosiers have never won back-to-back games in the series.
Indiana did take the last meeting, 20-15 in Bloomington in 2024. The Hoosiers arrive coming off their first loss since December 2024, a home defeat to Ohio State last Saturday that was also the first home loss under coach Curt Cignetti.
Michigan is looking to stack conference wins after earning its first Big Ten victory of the season against Penn State, when the offense put up 21 points and 221 yards after halftime. Freshman quarterback Tommy Carr has been moved into the lineup, and running back Jordan Marshall and wide receiver JJ Buchanan share the team lead with four touchdowns apiece.
Saturday also marks Michigan’s 800th game as a Big Ten member. In 120 seasons in the league the Wolverines are 558-223-18, a .710 winning percentage, and their .849 winning percentage against Indiana is their best against any conference opponent.
The game doubles as Michigan’s annual Block Cancer Game, and the team walk from near Crisler Center to the stadium tunnel starts about two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff.
