Bank Hold-Up In Dearborn Heights Leaves Police Seeking Public’s Assistance
A quiet day turned tense in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, when an armed man stormed into a Flagstar Bank and demanded cash. The incident went down on Wednesday, September 4 around 1 p.m. on Ford Road. Folks are still reeling from the shock, but guess what? Nobody got hurt.
The robber didn’t hang about after he grabbed an unknown amount of cash. He was seen leaving the bank, hopping into a maroon Ford and speeding off east on Ford Road, probably figuring he had made a smooth getaway.
But the ground is heating up under his feet now, as cops are determined to nail him down. With the community’s help, they’re hoping to close this case real soon.
A description of the man
The man in question is an African American dude, somewhere between 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He’s estimated to weigh between 160 to 170 pounds. He was sly enough to cover his identity with a mask but his attire is what stuck out the most. Put your mental caps on and visualize a tan hooded sweatshirt with a funny dancing skeleton on it. Pair that with dark (probably blue) pants and dark Addidas-looking shoes, and you’ve him!
Help the Police today
What’s really awesome is that no shots were fired during this incident. In fact, no customer or bank staff member got so much as a scratch. But we still need to find this guy, right? Well, if you were there or if you’ve heard or seen something that might help pin him down, give the Dearborn Heights Police a ring at 313-277-6770 or you could reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak. Remember, you can remain anonymous if that’s how you’re comfortable. And hey, you can also submit a tip online.
The police and the community could really use your help. So if you know something, say something. And let’s keep our streets safe.
