Customers will also have the option to purchase these sauces directly through the XCO Foods website.

This product launch is a direct response to customer requests for the sauces served in their restaurants to be made available for home cooking. The Xiong family’s journey began in 1988 when their parents immigrated from Laos to Michigan. Their family consists of eight siblings: five sons and three daughters, all of whom have contributed their unique culinary skills to the family’s restaurant ventures. Their extensive travel across Asia, including countries such as Korea, Thailand, and Japan, has allowed them to gather diverse culinary influences that shape their restaurant offerings and, now, their sauces.

Ashley Xiong, one of the siblings, noted that the family’s dishes integrate inspiration from their Hmong heritage as well as other Asian cuisines. With the opening of Toastn’ Tea about two years ago, the Xiong family has been able to expand their reach, focusing on sharing their love for food and exploration with their community.

Meijer has a long-standing commitment to support Michigan-made products, making it a natural partner for the Xiong family’s sauce endeavor. The initial launch will see the sauces available exclusively at Meijer stores, with plans for future expansion into additional retail channels.
