Tioga Pass, a location ascending to over 9,900 feet and serving as the eastern gateway to Yosemite, experienced a dusting of snow overnight. This unusual winter-like scene in August hasn’t happened at that location since 2003.
The usual route, which is often blocked by winter snow for one or two months requiring clearing, saw snowfall much ahead of its expected time.
