Community Action’s swift shift from their previous address at 409 East State Street aims to pull families out of frustration—especially those without transportation—by placing necessary services right where they can easily reach them.

What’s New at the Office?

It’s not just a new address—this office will also house the local food pantry, previously located at the East State address. After all, nutritious food is a key component of community well-being! And not to worry, the overnight pantry at 409 East State Street will still be up and running for those in need of after-hours food assistance.

Helping Families Through Tough Times

The mission of Community Action shines bright as they strive to help families navigate financial hurdles like food and utility costs. There’s also a great initiative underway for Medicaid members. Through the state’s New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER) Program, members can screen for unmet needs in essential areas like housing, nutrition, and transportation, with the potential to receive some free services that bolster health and well-being.
