The fire started in the afternoon, around 1:30 p.m, in a pretty big garage. It got serious pretty quickly, but thanks to our brave local firefighters from the Northfield Fire Department, the situation didn’t go haywire.

Firefighters To The Rescue

Our amazing firefighters, who take excellent care of Whitmore Lake, arrived on the scene promptly. Using all their skills and experience, they managed to “stop” the fire. If you’re wondering what that means, it’s a term used by firefighters to show that the building isn’t completely destroyed. The garage took a hit, but it wasn’t a total loss.

If You Smell Smoke

Sometimes, fires happen without us realizing it until it’s too late. That’s why it’s crucial to be aware and cautious. If you notice smoke or smell something burning around your home or neighborhood, you gotta be brave and check it out. And if you see fire, calling our local fire department immediately can help avoid major damage or injuries.

Remember, it’s always better to be safe than sorry!
