What we use to judge impact

We pull from a continuously-updated profile of Oakland County employers, the Michigan Congressional delegation (Haley Stevens (MI-11) and Debbie Dingell (MI-6); US Sens. Gary Peters and Elissa Slotkin), state officials (Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II, AG Dana Nessel, SoS Jocelyn Benson), state legislators covering Novi districts, Novi City Council, Oakland County commissioners, and the surrounding municipalities (Northville, Farmington Hills, Wixom, Walled Lake, Commerce Township, South Lyon, Lyon Township, Milford). When a federal action shows up in the news, we ask: does it land on a Novi payroll? If yes, we grade it.
