New Salon in Farmington Hills Emphasizes Natural Hair Care as Essential Self Care

In Farmington Hills, Michigan, a new hair salon is shaping up the way local folks perceive hair care. The salon, known as “Divine by Hair Mistress”, focuses on promoting and celebrating natural hair, embodying the philosophy that hair care is a form of self-care.

The mastermind behind “Divine by Hair Mistress” is Julisa Anderson. She is locally recognized as the Hair Mistress and is known to have styled hair from all walks of life. Over the years, she has built an engaging online presence and stayed ahead of the latest hair trends.

As a proud advocate for natural hair, Anderson believes in encouraging her clients to embrace their natural curls and textures. Anderson and her lead stylist, Shanetelle Johnson, are devoted to creating a space for clients to express their personal style and build confidence in their natural hair.

“I think that previously it was pushed to get a silk press or a perm. But now, people are growing out of that and transitioning their hair to their natural curls. People are falling in love with their natural hair,” said Johnson.

Her salon offers an array of services, from hair cuts to colour treatments, specialized in natural curls. They document the transformation of their clients’ hair on their Instagram page, showcasing varying curl patterns and styles, from hydrated and defined curls to vivacious red french braids.

Building on her reputation as a celebrity stylist, Anderson is now offering her own product line, Moon Child Curl Products. Having launched her own business was a spur-of-the-moment decision when a salon in Farmington Hills went on sale.

Apart from its tailor-made services, “Divine by Hair Mistress” is earning a name for its commitment to providing high-quality experiences. The salon is currently accepting both appointments and walk-ins, with a plan for an official grand opening next year.

“I’m looking forward to client reactions when we start making changes, even the small changes I’ve made so far,” said Anderson. She’s focused on creating a salon that nurtures a family-like atmosphere where clients can relax and enjoy the process.

The ultimate goal for Anderson and her team is to build a warm, welcoming space where each client walks out feeling more self-assured and comfortable in their natural hair.
