Exciting Showcase of Manufactured Homes at Novi Home Show!

Get ready, folks! This weekend, the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA) is buzzing with excitement as they set up for an amazing exhibit at the Novi Home Show. Happening at the Suburban Collection Showplace, this event is your golden ticket to explore six stunning manufactured home models, all under one roof!

What’s All the Buzz About Manufactured Homes?

Manufactured homes are becoming increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. Built in a controlled factory environment and supported by a sturdy steel frame, these homes can be placed where you choose—either on a permanent foundation or not. Once completed, these beauties are transported right to your desired site, whether it’s private property or a land-lease community. Convenience meets compliance, as all manufactured homes must conform to the strict federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards Act enforced by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

But wait, there’s more! Let’s not confuse manufactured homes with modular homes. Although they’re both factory-built, modular homes need to be assembled on-site by licensed builders, following local and state regulations. Additionally, modular homes can come in both one or two-story designs, while also needing to comply with Michigan’s Residential Building Code.

Michigan’s Love for Manufactured Homes

Michigan is making waves in the manufactured home market, ranking among the top 10 states for manufactured home shipments. In 2022 alone, the state saw nearly 5,000 shipments, with a slight dip to 3,212 in 2023. Since the start of 2021, over a whopping 12,000 new manufactured homes have graced Michigan! Clearly, residents are embracing the affordable and efficient living these homes offer.

The Models You’ll Find at the Show

As for the show itself, attendees can expect a jaw-dropping display of six beautifully designed home models from leading manufacturers like Clayton, Skyline, and Champion. The showcase features three single-section homes and three multisection homes, giving potential buyers an extensive selection to consider. Each home ranges from 1,056 to 1,699 square feet, complete with two to three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

And if you’re wondering about prices, they range from an accessible $46,748 to $149,999. That’s right! Dreaming of homeownership doesn’t have to break the bank. Plus, these models are thoughtfully designed with open floor plans, enviable kitchens featuring granite countertops and islands, and luxurious primary baths. It’s all about comfortable, stylish, and affordable living.

Why Choose Manufactured Homes?

The MMHA is passionate about showcasing just how incredible manufactured homes can be. They emphasize not only the affordability of these homes but also their energy efficiency and astonishingly quick turnaround time. Buyers can close on their dream home in just 16 to 90 days. Who wouldn’t want to move in that fast?
