Missing Man from Novi Found Safe

A man from Novi, who disappeared from his group home, has been found safe in Livingston County. The man, named Hans Brinkman, aged 53, was reported missing on a Saturday afternoon. His last known location was at his group home on Jamestowne Road, which is located north off the 10 Mile Road between Novi and Taft roads. The time he was last seen at the residence was 3:50 p.m.

A deputy from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office located Mr. Brinkman on Sunday, Sept. 15, at approximately 11 a.m. The man was found walking along U.S. 23 in Green Oak Township, which is a considerable 17 miles away from his residence.

It’s important to note that Mr. Brinkman did not have reliable access to transportation, a phone, or any money. The press release that followed did not provide any information on how or why Mr. Brinkman ended up so far away from his home without any resources. Further information regarding his adventurous journey is still awaited and will be communicated as soon as it is released.

We, the community, breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Mr. Brinkman has been found unscathed and is in safe hands now. It serves as a reminder to us to keep an eye out for our neighbors and be there for each other, especially in unexpected times like these.
