He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren.

Born on April 19, 1943, Jim graduated from Mackenzie High School and furthered his education by earning an Associate’s in Commerce from Henry Ford Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Business Administration and two Master’s degrees from Eastern Michigan University. Jim Rimbold is survived by his wife, Norma (Neff), his daughters Angela (Mark) Hoikka and Kristen Rimbold, and several grandchildren, including two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Jim will take place on February 7, 2025, at Milford Presbyterian Church, commencing with visitation at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m.

Doug Patton (Age 69)

Doug Patton, age 69, passed away on April 4, 2025. He was a loving husband to Suzanne for 44 years and the proud father of Amanda (Jeffrey) Hulbert and Ryan (Thomas Qualls) Patton, as well as a grandfather to Miles and Cora Hulbert. Doug was raised in Troy, Illinois, and pursued a successful career in engineering.

He attended Bradley University, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1977 and an MBA in 1984. Doug worked at Caterpillar before joining DENSO International America, where he served as Executive Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer until his retirement in 2019. An avid sports fan, Doug was particularly passionate about the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed gardening in his leisure time.

Visitation for Doug is planned for April 8, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Harry J Will Funeral Home, followed by in-state visitation at Hope Lutheran Church on April 9, from 9:30-10:00 a.m., with the funeral service starting at 10:00 a.m. Contributions in Doug’s memory may be directed to Cardinals Care.
