Recent elections witnessed the uncontested nomination of a resident for the position of a township trustee. His election is considered a given, with no other candidates vying for the position. Similarly, other positions like clerk, treasurer, and supervisor saw no opposition, reflecting the harmonious and peaceful atmosphere.

The neighborhood boasts of residents who have lived here for over two decades. The residents attribute the serenity of Novi to the community’s willingness to work together and always consider what is best for the township as a whole.

Annexation Into City Rejected

Interestingly, the City of Novi has attempted, in past decades, to annex this micro township at least twice. However, the residents firmly rejected this proposal, choosing to maintain their beloved, frugal lifestyle. The township operates on modest budgets, getting by efficiently on minimal resources. This ultimately establishes Novi as a community that can offer a tranquil and balanced lifestyle.

With it’s uniqueness and peacefulness, it’s no wonder Novi holds such a firm grip on its residents, allowing for homes to rarely hit the market. However, once available, these homes are snatched up quickly by those intrigued by Novi’s charm and serenity. As residents proudly claim, Novi is a tiny treasure, the uniqueness of which they celebrate.
