Exciting News in Livonia: OHM Advisors Expands its Reach!

Livonia, MI – Big things are happening in the world of architecture, engineering, and planning, as OHM Advisors, a well-established firm based in Livonia, has made headlines with its latest acquisitions. This time, the spotlight is on two companies – THY Inc. from Memphis, Tennessee, and Griner Engineering based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Let’s dive into what this means for OHM Advisors and all the communities they serve!

A New Chapter in Memphis

The acquisition of THY Inc., a company that specializes in land surveying and civil engineering, is a strategic move for OHM Advisors. This Memphis gem has been busy providing land surveying, site development, and transportation infrastructure services to a variety of public and private clients. Jon Kramer, the president of OHM Advisors, expressed his excitement about this new relationship, noting that both companies share a passion for the public sector and the goal to enhance infrastructure offerings for communities.

“There is a shared focus and passion between OHM Advisors and THY when it comes to the public sector and opportunities to expand and enhance infrastructure offerings,” Kramer stated. This collaboration, which officially kicked off on November 11, means OHM Advisors can now expand its presence in Tennessee with stronger roots in Memphis. With existing offices already operating in Nashville, Louisville, and Knoxville, the addition of a Memphis location only amplifies their capabilities.

Jimmy Cleveland, a principal at THY Inc., couldn’t be happier about joining forces with OHM Advisors. “Becoming a part of the OHM Advisors team is incredibly inspiring,” he remarked. “This new relationship will allow us to come together to accelerate growth and make an even greater impact in the communities we serve.” Can’t say we blame him – working towards community advancement is always a win!

Engineering a Bright Future

The excitement doesn’t stop at Memphis! The acquisition of Griner Engineering, which also became official recently on October 7, is a significant boost for OHM Advisors. Specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services, Griner has operations not just in St. Petersburg but also in Sevierville, Tennessee. Their track record spans multiple sectors, including municipal, educational, commercial, and industrial, making them a versatile addition to the team.

What’s astonishing is the anticipation surrounding this merger. “What excites me most about this acquisition is the shared passion of our team members for delivering exceptional solutions for clients,” Kramer enthused, highlighting how the combined expertise will enable them to deliver innovative and people-focused designs. By merging talents, OHM Advisors aims to strengthen their mission of advancing communities today and for generations to come.

Joe Griner, the president of Griner Engineering, echoed these sentiments, excitedly stating, “We are very excited to become part of the OHM team. This acquisition helps OHM meet its goal of doubling the number of MEP experts and increasing the number of clients we can serve.” It seems like both companies are on track to make waves in the engineering and planning landscape!

The Bigger Picture

With more than 700 experts on its team and offices spread across eight states, OHM Advisors is clearly positioning itself as a leader in the architecture and engineering industry. The recent acquisitions of THY Inc. and Griner Engineering only further cement this status, allowing the firm to tap into new markets and enhance their existing services.

As both companies embark on this journey together, the excitement is palpable. These moves are sure to not only strengthen OHM Advisors but also enrich the communities they are dedicated to serving. It’s going to be an adventure worth following, as they aim to create a brighter and more efficient future for all!
