Plymouth, Michigan – Shirley Ann Buchanan, aged 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, marking the end of a life filled with cherished relationships and meaningful contributions to her community. Born on December 28, 1938, in Redford, Michigan, Shirley will be remembered fondly by family and friends alike.
Shirley was the devoted wife of Roger for 47 years, sharing a deep bond that defined much of her life. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her dear brother, Glenn Frayne, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss her presence dearly. The connections she fostered over the years will leave a lasting legacy as those who knew her come together to celebrate her life.
In honor of Shirley’s memory, an in-state visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 41415 W 9 Mile Rd, Novi, Michigan 48375. Following this, a funeral service will be held starting at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to pay their last respects and celebrate the life she led.
In a gesture of remembrance, contributions in Shirley’s honor are welcome and can be made to the American Cancer Society, specifically towards breast cancer research, reflecting her commitment to helping others even beyond her lifetime.
