NOVI, Mich. — The fall edition of Motor City Comic Con opens a three-day run on Friday, Nov. 13, at Novi’s Vibe Credit Union Showplace, bringing TV stars, wrestlers, voice actors and comic creators to Grand River Avenue for the weekend.
The convention center sits at 46100 Grand River Ave. Doors are set to open from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, and tickets are already on sale.
One of the headline draws is a celebration of the crime drama The Closer, with trivia, giveaways and a panel featuring Kyra Sedgwick, Mary McDonnell, Jon Tenney and Jonathan Del Arco. Brothers Scott and Rick Steiner are slated to talk wrestling with fans, and actress Marlee Matlin is scheduled for a session on her film and TV work, including Children of a Lesser God and CODA.
Casts tied to The West Wing and the video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also have panels on the schedule.
Away from the stages, the floor includes an Artist Alley for meeting creators, a crafter marketplace of handmade goods, a pinball zone, bingo, an anime screening room and a room of activities for young children. The show runs twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
