In Division 3, Detroit Country Day continued to impress with their strong competitive streak, further establishing themselves as a powerhouse in Michigan girls tennis. Notably, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood had previously scored 33 points to win back-to-back championships in this division.

Meanwhile, Ann Arbor Greenhills exhibited remarkable prowess in Division 4 by accumulating 37 points and winning six out of eight individual state titles. This stellar performance reinforces their position as a formidable team in Michigan high school tennis.

The annual state tournaments serve as a platform for recognizing standout talent within Michigan’s high school tennis community. The Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association applauds exceptional performances by honoring All-State teams across each division. Noteworthy players from the season include Nicole Fu from Rochester Adams High School, who competed in the highly-attended Division 1 finals. Fu was a first-team all-state selection in 2023, showcasing her abilities on the court.

In Oakland County, a number of exceptional players emerged, including all-state selections like Chenfang from Troy, Geisz from Clarkston, Gowda from Troy, Lingam from Bloomfield Hills, and Liu from Novi. Despite some elite athletes opting out of participating in high school tennis this season, coaches emphasized the high level of talent present at the competition.

The depth of talent in this year’s tournaments was particularly noticeable at the No. 1 singles position, where several players demonstrated outstanding skills.
