Hannah Lee Donigan Passes Away at Age 89

Hannah Lee Donigan, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home on June 21, 2025. Born on July 13, 1935, in Clinton, Indiana, she was the youngest child of Joseph and Hazel Provence. Donigan was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, and she is survived by her four daughters: Alison A. (Gayle Richards) Donigan, Jeannine D. (David) Hales, Devany D. (Martin) Eidemiller, and son Kevin D. (Judy) Donigan. In addition, she leaves behind six grandchildren: Delaney P. Angelillo, Brendon D. Angelillo, Davis K. (Lily) Donigan, Matthew D. Hales, Garrett J. Donigan, and Madison D. Hales.

In her extended family, Donigan is remembered fondly by her sister, Martha Anne (Provence) Park, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and what she referred to as her ‘bonus’ sons and daughters. Donigan was preceded in death by her husband, Don Harvey Donigan, who passed away prior to her, along with her brother Joseph Schaff Provence and sisters Virginia Rose (Provence) Keith and Lois Ellen (Provence) Sleziak.

David Alexander Wheat Remembered at Age 31

David Alexander Wheat, age 31, passed away on November 13, 2024, in Novi, having lived recently in Ferndale, Michigan. He was the son of Michael and Anita (née Brown) Wheat and is survived by three siblings: Michael (Scarlett) Wheat, Meaghan (Clay) Wheat, and Lauren Wheat. David’s love for his family extended to his beloved yellow lab, Charlotte.

David Wheat attended Village Oaks schools and graduated from Novi High School in 2010. He later pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Wheat was a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), working at various public accounting firms throughout his career.

His passions included outdoor activities, where he found joy in camping and hiking, particularly at Sunset Point on Belle Isle. Additionally, he enjoyed swimming, biking, and boating at his home in Sugar Springs. David was active in the community, having completed the Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon and embarking on a recent hiking trip across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York with his parents. His hobbies also included playing Pokemon Go, engaging with Detroit sporting events, listening to music, and reading, with “The Warmth of Other Suns” by Isabel Wilkerson being among his favorites.

David was known for his quick wit and clever personality, and he expressed pride in being a supportive family member who had recently become a homeowner. His presence will be deeply missed, particularly for the warmth of his hugs.

Visitation and Funeral Arrangements for David Wheat

A visitation for David Wheat is scheduled for November 19, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia, MI. An in-state service will take place at St. James Catholic Church in Novi on November 20 at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park.
